The entertainment never sits still for very long, and after a brief, gasping pause following Miley Cyrus and the “Twerks That Swallowed All the News Coverage”, the glitz and glam are back in full swing. Here are just a few of todays entertainment news stories.
- Kim Kardashian is a blonde! The reality TV star is sporting a dusky gold fade with dark feathered roots. You could pass her on the street and not even know it! (Except for all the photographers, and bodyguards, and more photographers…)
- George “Batman” Clooney is back on the market, ladies. The “Gravity” star is floating free from his girlfriend of two years, Stacy Keibler. The couple may have been quits since the Fourth of July, but at any rate, the official word is now on the street.
- “50 Shades of Grey”, the racy, controversial novel by E L James, is a few steps closer to the big screen, as producers announced the casting of the two main characters. Dakota Johnson will play Anastasia Steele, and Charlie Hunnam will play billionaire Christian Grey. The two are expected to start steaming up the set soon, in time for an August 2014 release date.
- More breaking entertainment news today as big band crooner Harry Connick, Jr., was announced as the newest judge on American Idol. The New Orleans piano phenom will take a break from touring to judge the great and the not so great as the show enters into its thirteenth season.
